The AirPods Max are Apple’s premium over-ear wireless headphones, first announced on December 8, 2020 and released on December 15, 2020. They introduced Apple’s full-feature headphone experience offering high-fidelity audio, computational sound enhancements, and a luxurious physical design built with stainless steel and aluminum .
